Michele (She/Her) is both a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) as well as a Registered Individual, Marriage and Family Therapist (RMFT) (Clinical Fellow) with the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT). She is committed to helping individuals, couples and families strengthen their relationships.
Michele is an Accredited Family Mediator (Acc FM) with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM), and welcomes the opportunity to help separating families in transition do so respectfully, keeping the children’s wellbeing front and centre of all decisions.
Michele also works in Collaborative Practice as a Family Professional and as a Trainer/Coach. Collaborative Practice is a respectful alternative to a court based process where separating couples work with a professional team through their separation process. She is a member of the Hamilton-Halton Collaborative Practice group.
Michele is trained in both Level 1 & 2 EMDR training (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She values the privilege of helping people heal from the difficult memories of many forms of trauma.
Michele has a Master of Theological Studies in Pastoral Counselling (MTS) from Wilfrid Laurier University, and an Honours Degree in Sociology (BA) from McMaster University. She also has an Addiction Studies Diploma from McMaster University.
